More designs

On the production side here are several more starship designs, most are at the moment a work in progress.

D’Kyr-type

D-5 (complete orthos to come soon)

Kumari-type

As you’ll notice, thus far all are ships we’ve already seen in the series. Just in case you’re wondering, I’m currently sketches up some concepts for potential new starship classes as well.

Welcome to the Blog

Hello all,

Welcome to my first and thus far only contribution to the vast and ever growing web wonder that is the blogging community.

The primary purpose of this blog is to keep people informed on the continuing development of my effort to continue the adventures of Captain Archer and his crew as an animated fifth season (as well as from time to time other things I may or not be working on).

Right now, the number of actual episodes that will comprise this fifth season is anyone’s guess and will ultimately depend on how many people I get on the team. However, as of now developmentally speaking I’m proceeding under the impression that there will be somewhere in the range of twenty episodes.

But as I said, I’m going to need a lot of help to get anywhere near this ambitious.

I’m looking for a complement of voice actors; the auditions for the members of the main cast are currently open. SEE BELOW for details. However, of paramount concern right now would be expanding the production team. I need animators (most urgently), as well as various other positions such as: Sound Editor, Music Composer, and other positions. A complete list will be presented in due course.

Writers are not on the agenda right now, because all efforts are focused on the opening episode(s) which I’ll be writing myself.

As for the animators, experience in Flash or other vector based drawing programs is preferred as it’s the program I’m currently using. Although I don’t think it’s completely beyond the realm of possibility for animators proficient in other programs, such as Toomboom or (fill in X software here) to work on the project as well since the final product shall be assembled in a separate editing program. So long as consistency with the animating style can be maintained I don’t think it will pose a serious problem.

Anyone interested in a position can contact me at: joe8342001@yahoo.co.uk

VOICE ACTOR AUDITIONS:

The audition lines and instructions are included within the following document.

Without further ado here is the first official image from the project, which was completed about four months ago.

This was in turn preceded by a final (and I use the term loosely for reasons to be explained in a later post) design for the NX class.

More to come soon.
